Smith Polymeric is in the final stages of the athletics track refurbishment at Charterhouse, one of the UK’s greatest historic independent schools.
The track at Charterhouse will be improved and upgraded ready for the autumn term. Charterhouse selected Smith Polymeric to complete the works, which include total refurbishment, specialist cleaning, minor repairs, full resurface and line marking of the existing 8-lane 400m track.
Smith Construction (www.smithsportscivils.co.uk) worked closely with Charterhouse two years ago on phase one of the their £2m sports redevelopment plan, when they designed and constructed two top quality hockey pitches with irrigation, a training area and six tennis courts with floodlighting and landscaping.
Ken Smith, Managing Director of Smith Construction said “The polymeric division has gone from strength to strength since its launch and we have invested heavily in new equipment to ensure high quality work is provided. Charterhouse are a pleasure to work for and I am delighted they chose our polymeric division to resurface their athletics track. We hope to continue our working relationship.”
